Pomegranate Phuchka Shot

A healthy version of the original pani puri/puchka with the goodness of fruits!

For the Puris

Step 1 :

In a bowl mix suji, wheat flour, baking powder and salt. Add fruit acid to the mixture and mix again. Add a little warm water immediately and mix well.

Step 2 :

Add more water to the mixture and knead into a semi-stiff dough. Knead the dough for about 2 -3 minutes till it is sticky.

Step 3 :

Coat with oil and continue kneading for another 3 -4 minutes. Cover and set it aside for about 10-15 minutes.

Step 4 :

Divide the dough into small portions. Roll each portion into 40 mm circles. Keep them under a damp cloth, not to let them dry. Do not make the puris too thin.

Step 5 :

In frying pan heat the oil. Deep fry the puris till they turn light golden brown. Once done, place them on a flat surface on tissue/ absorbent paper. Once they cool down, place puris in an airtight container and close the lid.

For the Mixture

Step 1 :

Mix all the ingredients of the filling.

Step 2 : Assembling the pani puri shots

Pour pomegranate juice into the tiny glasses. Sprinkle some chat masala over juice glass. Break the puchka puri from one side and fill the puris with the filling.

Step 3 :

Sprinkle some chat masala, add some pomegranate and mint leaf for garnishing.

Step 4 :

Keep these puris over the tiny glasses and enjoy your healthy fruity atta puchka.
