Banana Paniyaram

Filling your house with a lovely aroma, this is a delicious delight. The traditional recipe uses jackfruit, but here banana is used instead. Enjoy it as a tea time snack or even a dessert!

Preparation

Step 1 :

Take 1.5 cups of rice rava and sieve it. Rinse it under tap water.

Step 2 :

Add the half cup of coconut gratings, half teaspoon of salt, 1.5 cups of chopped ripened bananas, 3/4th cup jaggery and elaichi powder for flavour.

Step 3 :

Mix well and make a batter (not too thin nor thick).

Step 4 :

Heat the appam maker. Add ghee to the pits and once suitably hot, pour a tablespoon of the batter.

Step 5 :

Cover and keep on medium flame.

Step 6 :

After a few minutes, turn them upside down.

Step 7 :

When they turn golden brown on both sides, remove and serve.
