A healthy, tasty and easy office time snack! This recipe has shelf life of 10-15 days so you can store it in an airtight container and keep it at your desk.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Sieve the poha from the powdered poha.

Step 2 :

Heat 1 tbsp. oil in a pan. Add turmeric and quickly add the poha. Stir continuously till all the flakes are covered with turmeric and oil. Keep a low flame so that it doesn't burn.

Step 3 :

Soak chana dal for 15-20 minutes and then roast it. Roast raw peanuts and dry fruits (except raisins) in 1 tbsp. oil.

Step 4 :

In a separate pan add 1 tbsp. oil. Once hot, add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add curry leaves, peanuts, chana dal, dry fruits, add red chilli, amchoor powder and salt. Mix the mixture.

Step 5 :

Add the prepared poha. Sprinkle powdered sugar. Add raisins.

Step 6 :

Turn off the flame. Mix the mixture well.

Step 7 :

Allow it to cool at room temperature and store it in an airtight container.

Step 8 :

Roasted Chivda is ready to use.
