A delicious steamed chicken momo recipe that makes for the perfect comfort food!

Method

Step 1 : For the Filling

Mix the chicken with all the ingredients except green peas and keep aside.

Step 2 : For the Skin

Make the dough with the flour and water. Keep aside for 30 minutes. Roll 4 cm (2”) strips. Cut into 2 cm (3/4”) pieces to make about 30 pieces.

Step 3 :

Flatten each piece with the palm of the hand and roll 4” diameter with the help of corn starch. Sprinkle corn starch between skins. Divide into piles of 3-4 skins each.

Step 4 :

Press the rolling pin firmly around edges of skins to make edges flare. Separate skins.

Step 5 :

Put some filling in the centre of each skin. Gather skin leaving edges flared.

Step 6 :

Add one green pea in the centre. Steam the dumplings for 10 minutes.

Step 7 :

Serve hot with your favourite chutney or sauce.
