Rose & Saffron Phirni

A delectable and aromatic recipe made with the goodness of milk, rice and dry fruits!

Preparation

Step 1 :

Wash and soak rice in some water for an hour.

Step 2 :

After soaking, drain the water and grind it to a smooth paste. Add some water or milk for a paste like consistency.

Step 3 :

Meanwhile, put the milk for boiling and soak saffron strands in half cup of warm milk.

Step 4 :

When milk comes to a boil, simmer it and add the rice paste and saffron milk to it.

Step 5 :

Stir continuously so that no lumps are formed.

Step 6 :

When it becomes thicker, add sugar, rose water and dry fruits.

Step 7 :

The phirni is ready. Let it cool at room temperature.

Step 8 :

Pour in an earthen bowl and add some more dry fruits and kesar for garnishing.

Step 9 :

Put it in a refrigerator and serve chilled.
