MeatBall Biryani

Preparation

Step 1 :

To the kheema, add a little of the ginger-garlic paste, 1 green chilli, a little coriander and pudina, fried gram and salt. Grind together. Make small balls, deep fry and keep aside.

Step 2 :

Heat a biryani pot. Add oil. When hot, add the spices, onions and chillies and fry till brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry till the raw smell is gone. Now add tomatoes, coriander and pudina and fry well. Add chilli powder and salt. Keep stirring till the tomatoes can be smashed to form a gravy. Add the curd and lime juice.

Step 3 :

To the above gravy, add the meat balls and stir well. Sprinkle some water if the gravy is dry.

Step 4 :

In a separate pot, take enough water and boil. Add the washed and soaked basmati rice. Cook till just done. Strain.

Step 5 :

Add the strained rice to the gravy and spread it.

Step 6 :

Let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 7 :

Mix gently and serve with salads and curd raita.
