Cheese Bonda

A unique twist to the Bonda recipe. The cheese filling enhances the taste!

Preparation

Step 1 :

In a bowl and add besan, ajwain, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt as per taste. Add water and make a thick batter. Keep it aside.

Step 2 :

Boil potatoes, peel and mash them.

Step 3 :

Now, heat a kadai and add oil. Once hot, add jeera.

Step 4 :

When jeera changes colour, add green chillies. Then add onion and garlic and stir fry them until they start changing colour.

Step 5 :

Add capsicum and sauté well. Add mashed potatoes and mix it well. Let it cook for about 4-5 minutes.

Step 6 :

Add a pinch of salt, red chilli powder, black pepper powder and garam masala powder.

Step 7 :

Now, turn off the flame and take it out in a plate. Let it cool down.

Step 8 :

Cut cheese cubes into 2-3 pieces.

Step 9 :

In a kadai, add oil for deep frying.

Step 10 :

Take a small portion of aloo mixture and place the cheese cubes in middle. Make them into round balls. Dip them in batter of besan and deep fry them.

Step 11 :

Serve the Cheese Bondas hot with tomato chutney.
