Cheese balls are nothing but small to medium sized deep-fried balls stuffed with cheese and coated with corn flour, refined flour or breadcrumbs. They are ideal to be served as snacks as well as appetizers.

Step 1 :
Boil the potatoes and mash them. Ensure that there are no lumps.
Step 2 :
Take 4-5 cubes of cheese, grate it and add it to the mashed potato. Add salt as per taste (keep in mind that the cheese has salt too).
Step 3 :
Add sweet corns, chopped green chilli, coriander and red chilli powder. Sprinkle oregano. Mix it well. You will notice that the dough gets soft and sticky.
Step 4 :
Make small balls from the dough. Cut the remaining cheese cubes into small cubes and place it in the centre of the ball (keeping the shape in mind).
Step 5 :
Heat the oil in pan. While the oil is getting heated, make a paste of cornflour with water. It should neither be too thick nor too thin.
Step 6 :
Dip the balls in this paste one by one and toss them in breadcrumbs. The balls should be covered with breadcrumbs coating.
Step 7 :
Put the balls in oil and fry them until they turn golden brown. Keep the flame low as it may start to burn.
Step 8 :
Take it out, strain excess oil with filter paper.
Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy delight.
