A quick and sweet recipe that is made with a few ingredients like semolina, coconut, sugar, nuts and ghee/milk. I have prepared this without coconut, but the addition of dried coconut (copra) lends a fragrant aroma. Fresh or desiccated coconut can also be used too.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Roast the Bombay rava (used to prepare upma) in ghee for 5-10 minutes.

Step 2 :

Prepare sugar syrup, for 1 cup rava, add 1 cup sugar. Take sugar into a bowl and add enough water to immerse the sugar completely.

Step 3 :

Boil it on full flame and prepare sugar syrup. Make sure that the it is sticky enough.

Step 4 :

Add 1-2 teaspoons of milk along with dry fruits and roasted rava and mix it thoroughly.

Step 5 :

Stir the mixture well and add enough ghee for deliciousness.

Step 6 :

Prepare soft laddus before the mixture gets cold.

Step 7 :

You can serve it easily for around 10 people.
