Creamy Yet Heathly Quinoa Kheer

Kheer is the favourite dessert of every Indian and when loaded with protein, it's a dish that is complete in every way. Indulge in your sweet tooth with this quinoa delight.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Wash the quinoa 2-3 times and drain the water. Keep aside.

Step 2 :

Add saffron in some warm milk and keep aside.

Step 3 :

Put half teaspoon ghee in a pan/vessel and roast the raisins, pistachio and almonds. Keep aside.

Step 4 :

Put one more tbsp of ghee in the same pan/vessel and roast the quinoa.

Step 5 :

Roast for 2-3 minutes and add one and half cup of milk.

Step 6 :

Cook the quinoa till soft.

Step 7 :

Add leftover milk when the quinoa is cooked with sugar, saffron milk and cardamom powder.

Step 8 :

Keep stirring till it thickens a little and do not let the ingredients stick to the bottom of the pan/vessel.

Step 9 :

Remove from heat add the roasted pistachio, almonds and raisins. It's ready to be served.
