A delectable fusion of quinoa and chana dal that provides iron, protein and fibre! It goes well with bread and rice.

Preparation

Step 1 :

In a pan, take ghee and add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Mix well till it splutters.

Step 2 :

Now add onions, green chillies and garlic paste. Mix well till the pungent smell goes away.

Step 3 :

Then add tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt and mix well. Allow it to simmer.

Step 4 :

Add quinoa and the boiled chana dal and mix well. Now add water and allow it to simmer on low flame till the ghee is released at the sides of the pan. Add more water if required, it should be of medium liquid consistency.

Step 5 :

Lazeez Quinoa Chana Dal Fry is ready to be served, you can also garnish it with coriander leaves if required. It goes well with Indian breads and boiled white rice/pulao.
