Quinoa Pulao

A desi twist to the exotic quinoa! This pulao is full of Indian spices and seasonings that lends an irresistible taste.

Preparation

Step 1 :

In a pressure cooker on low flame, add oil. Add jeera and once it splatters, add urad dal, methi seeds, coriander seeds, bay leaves, clove and cinnamon. Sauté for two minutes.

Step 2 :

Add onion, ginger-garlic paste and sauté for two minutes.

Step 3 :

Add haldi powder, garam masala and red chili powder.

Step 4 :

After one minute, add the green peas and sweet corn.

Step 5 :

Sauté for a bit and add 1 cup of quinoa. Mix everything well.

Step 6 :

Add 2 cups of water, salt as per requirement and stir it.

Step 7 :

Put the lid of the pressure cooker, turn the flame to medium and cook for 2 -3 whistles.

Step 8 :

After the cooker cools down, open it and garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
