An easy and quick snack! We always have parappu podi powder in our houses. We mix it along with groundnut oil or sesame oil in hot cooked rice and eat it.

Preparation

Step 1 :

To make 'Paruppu podi’, slightly fry red chilies and black pepper. Add toor dal and fry till it turns reddish. Remove it from the fire and let it come down to the room temperature. Put this with salt in a dry powder mixer and make a soft powder.

Step 2 :

Take two cups and add murmure to it. Add half teaspoon 'paruppu podi' and one teaspoon of groundnut oil.

Step 3 :

Mix it well and serve. (Whenever you need, you can mix this parappu podi powder to hot or cold cooked rice and eat. To mix the powder with rice, use gingelly oil or groundnut oil.)
