Capsicum Masala

Spicy capsicum curry to be relished with rice, roti or dosa.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Wash capsicum well remove seeds, wash again and slice it.Slice should not be either too big or small. It should be medium. Keep it aside.

Step 2 :

Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and fry cinnamon, cardamom and saunf for few seconds and sauté onions till light brown.

Step 3 :

Now add ginger, garlic and tomatoes one by one. Fry till oil comes up. Turn off flame and let it cool down for some time.

Step 4 :

Blend this along with coriander leaves and cashews to a fine paste. No need to add water.

Step 5 :

Heat left over oil and fry sliced capsicum for 2 minutes. Now add the paste, salt and water as required. Add chilli powder and coriander powder and let it boil till nice smell comes out.

Step 6 :

Add milk and stir. Once it is done turn off flame and transfer to serving bowl. Serve hot with roti, rice or dosa.
