This is a delicious recipe made from the goodness of milk and rice. It is a custom to prepare the kheer on birthdays and other festive occasions.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Wash and strain the rice.

Step 2 :

Boil milk in a heavy-bottomed pan and keep aside.

Step 3 :

Heat ghee in a pan.

Step 4 :

Add rice and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5 :

Now add milk.

Step 6 :

Cook on a slow flame till the rice becomes soft.

Step 7 :

Lastly, add condensed milk, pistachios and raisins.

Step 8 :

Cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 9 :

Remove from the heat.

Step 10 :

Garnish with pistachios and saffron.
