This is a quick and easy traditional American cookie recipe which can be made with simple ingredients available at home. It comes handy during house and kids’ parties when we need large batches of cookies to be baked and it becomes a time consuming process. This recipe makes that process less time consuming and enjoyable.

Preparation
Step 1 :
In a cast iron skillet, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter on low heat.
Step 2 :
Once the butter melts, remove it from the stove. Add 1/4 cup refined sugar and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Mix everything well and let it cool.
Step 3 :
Add one egg to the mixture and mix well. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 3/4th teaspoon of baking powder and mix well.
Step 4 :
Add 1 & 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour to the mixture and mix well. Add and mix 1 cup of chocolate chips to the mixture and spread the mixture evenly throughout the skillet.
Step 5 :
Bake the mixture at 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C for about 20 minutes. Bring the skillet cookie to room temperature cut and enjoy the warm cookies.
