Whole Wheat Brownies with Nutella and Almonds

Chewy whole wheat brownies with Nutella and almond - the name describes it all. Nutella is very high in sugar content, so I have cut down the sugar amount for this recipe to balance it. This is completely optional, you can skip this if you want. If you skip the Nutella, these will become healthy whole wheat brownies.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Take the chocolate ingredients.

Step 2 :

Melt all these on double boiler to get a smooth and lumps free solution. Once done, let the solution come to the room temperature.

Step 3 :

In a large mixing bowl, take two large eggs. With whisker, whisk these well. Add sugar and whisk again to dissolve the sugar completely.

Step 4 :

Add chocolate solution and cocoa powder to the egg-sugar mixture and gently fold them.

Step 5 :

Sieve flour, baking powder and salt altogether and mix these into batter.

Step 6 :

Do not over mix the solution. Gently fold all the dry ingredients along with chopped almonds into wet ingredients with the cut and fold method to keep the air intact.

Step 7 :

Meanwhile, pre-heat the oven at 160 degree Celsius. Take an 8*8 baking tin and line in with parchment paper. Pour the batter into it. Tap the tin on counter. Sprinkle chopped almonds on top. Bake it in a preheated oven at 160 degree Celsius for 20 minutes.

Step 8 :

After 20 minutes, take the tin out from the oven. Drizzle Nutella on it. Cut it into pieces. Your whole wheat Almond Nutella brownie is ready to serve.
