Kala Chana

This is my version of a quick kaala chana recipe. Here boiling and flavouring happens together, making the chana soak up all the healthy masalas.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Heat up the oil in a pressure cooker, add the grated onion and saute till it's brown.

Step 2 :

Add the grated ginger, coriander powder, soaked kala chana, salt and roasted cumin seed powder.

Step 3 :

Mix them all. Add 750 ml water and sliced green chilies. Close the lid with the whistle on it. After 20 whistles, wait for 5-7 minutes till the lid opens on its own! Bon Appetit!
