Preparation
Step 1 :
Pre-heat the oven at 180 C for 10 minutes
Step 2 :
Grease a muffin tray with butter (6 cavity medium sized muffin mold can be used)
Step 3 :
Flatten the bread using a rolling pin
Step 4 :
Using a circular cookie cutter one inch bigger than the muffin cavity to cut the bread into circular pieces
Step 5 :
Place the circular bread pieces into the greased muffin tray and press slightly against the walls of the cavity to seat the bread correctly (to take the shape of the muffin and looks like basket)
Step 6 :
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs add veggies, milk, salt, sugar, pepper, cheese, herbs / seasoning and butter / olive oil and combine well.
Step 7 :
Using a ladle, pour the mixture into the bread cavities equally
Step 8 :
Bake for 18 to 25 min at 160C or till completely cooked
Step 9 :
Loosen the sides and de-mould the canapes
Step 10 : Serve with
Serve hot with Tomato ketchup or Mayonnaise
Step 11 : Healthy Tip
Processed Cheese can also be used and Cheese can be omitted to make a healthier version. Various kinds of vegetables can be used but need to chop them finely.
