Preparation

Step 1 :

Boil the Yam/Suran and Potatoes in pressure cooker till soft and well done.Peel and keep aside.

Step 2 :

In a big bowl mix the mashed potatoes and suran, besan, dry spices, salt, chilies & coriander to form a sticky dough.

Step 3 :

Divide in to 15 to 18 small balls. Rub some oil in the palm of your hands and shape the balls in shape of kofta.

Step 4 :

Heat oil in a deep frying pan and fry the koftas till golden brown. Serve as an accompaniment with dal fry and jeera rice/ eat it as a snack with some tomato Ketchup/tamarind chutney.
