Crack through a rich dark chocolate shell to discover a luscious gulkand-filled centre, delicately infused with cardamom and pistachios for an indulgent fusion of tradition and luxury.

Cooking Steps
Method:
Step 1 :
Begin by preparing the filling. Warm the fresh cream in a small pan and add chopped dark chocolate. Stir until smooth and glossy.
Step 2 :
Add the gulkand, cardamom powder and chopped pistachios. Mix well and refrigerate for about 20–30 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Step 3 :
Once chilled, divide the mixture into small portions and roll into balls. Place them in the freezer for 10–15 minutes.
Step 4 :
Melt dark chocolate along with the butter until smooth.
Step 5 :
Using a silicone modak mould, coat the inside with melted chocolate. Refrigerate for 5–10 minutes and repeat with a second layer.
Step 6 :
Place one chilled gulkand filling ball inside each chocolate shell.
Step 7 :
Cover the filling with the remaining melted chocolate and smooth the surface.
Step 8 :
Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes or until completely set.
Step 9 :
Carefully remove the modaks from the mould and garnish with crushed pistachios and dried rose petals before serving.
