Soft, hearty, and packed with the rustic goodness of maize flour, these traditional Makki ka Dhokla are a wholesome sattvic delicacy that brings the comforting flavours of Rajasthan straight to your plate.

Cooking Steps

Makki ka Dhokla

Step 1 :

Crushed red chili peppers and coriander seeds in corn flour. Add fenugreek and cumin seeds.

Step 2 :

Now add salt and papad khar to the water and boil it.

Step 3 :

Now pour the boiling water into the corn flour and stir well. There should be no lumps. We don't need to knead the dough.

Step 4 :

When it cools down a bit, apply water to your hands and form dhoklas, making a hole in the middle.

Step 5 :

Now pour a glass of water into a steamer or pan and heat it.

Step 6 :

Now place the prepared dhokla in a strainer. Place a stand in the pan or steamer and cook on medium heat for 25 to 30 minutes.

Step 7 :

Your dhokla is ready. Enjoy it with dal mixed with red chili and ghee.

Step 8 :

Some people also eat it with sugar, so you can eat it with sugar if you prefer.
