A comforting traditional Karnataka-style gojju made with tiny aromatic mangoes, balanced beautifully with jaggery, spice, and a flavourful coconut oil tempering.

Cooking Steps

For the Gojju:

Step 1 :

Wash the mangoes thoroughly and peel off the skin.

Step 2 :

Squeeze the pulp into a cooking vessel and add the seeds as well.

Step 3 :

Add chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, jaggery, salt, and water as required.

Step 4 :

Heat the mixture for a few minutes until it comes to a boil.

Step 5 :

Remove from the flame.

For the seasoning:

Step 1 :

Prepare the seasoning using coconut oil, mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, hing, Byadgi chillies, and curry leaves.

Step 2 :

Pour the seasoning over the gojju.

Step 3 :

Serve hot with rice.
