Cooking Steps
For Kokum Pulihora with Solkadhi
Step 1 : Kokum Pulihora (Kokum rice)
Cook rice with a pinch of salt in boiling water, once the rice is cooked, add 1 tsp ghee & keep aside.
Step 2 :
In a kadhai heat oil followed by adding mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, dried red chilli, hing, curry leaves & green chilli then sauté for a minute.
Step 3 :
Add indisecrets organic kokum juice, turmeric powder, salt & puliyogare masala then boil for a minute.
Step 4 :
Add cooked rice to the prepared Pulihora mix curry followed by a nice mix.
Step 5 : Solkadhi (Kokum kadhi)
In a mortar pestle crush altogether green chilli, garlic cloves, coriander leaves & curry leaves.
Step 6 :
In a glass bowl add the crushed mix, to it add indi secrets organic kokum juice, coconut milk, cumin powder & salt give it a nice mix and keep it for 1 hr at room temperature before consuming.
Step 7 :
Serve Kokum Pulihora along with kokum kadhi for a delightful Kokum meal.
