Sweet Shankarpoli is a sweet/snack that is prepared with all purpose flour (maida). It is usually made during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, in South India.

Step 1 :

Mix wheat flour, sugar powder and 3 tsp of hot cooking oil.

Step 2 :

Mix these ingredients with water to form a tight dough.

Step 3 :

Take a ball sized dough, roll it into a thick sheet and cut it into diamond shapes using a knife.

Step 4 :

Deep fry the shankarpoli till it turns golden brown.

Step 5 :

Take it out from the pan and serve it hot. You can use tissue paper to absorb excess oil.
