It is a plain, simple vegetable biryani recipe. It requires less effort and can be prepared for a grand occasion at the same time.

Step 1 :

Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes.

Step 2 :

Take coriander leaves, ginger and garlic paste and grind it well to form a smooth mixture.

Step 3 :

Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker.

Step 4 :

Now add bay leaves and saute 30 seconds.

Step 5 :

Add chopped onions and saute till brown in colour.

Step 6 :

Add chillies and the paste ground earlier.

Step 7 :

Saute for 3 minutes until aromatic.

Step 8 :

Add tomatoes and cook it for 3 minutes.

Step 9 :

Now add biryani masala, salt and mix it.

Step 10 :

Add all veggies and toss well in the cooker.

Step 11 :

Once done, add rice, mix well. Pour water in the rice and add sugar for taste.

Step 12 :

Add seasoning accordingly.

Step 13 :

Boil it on sim and pressure cook it for 4 to 5 whistles.

Step 14 :

Turn off the heat, keep it aside to rest.

Step 15 :

Serve it hot.
