Palakkadan Matta Rice (also known as the Rosematta Rice, Kerala Red Rice, or Red Parboiled Rice) is an indigenous variety of rice grown in Palakkad District of Kerala. It is different from regular brown rice. It is widely used in Kerala and Sri Lanka on a regular basis and is the tastiest among the group. Kerala Matta rice is very rich in the content of nutrients and is very unique in its taste and colour.

How to Use

Microwave-

1) Rinse the rice once or twice in running cold water and drain the excess water. 

2) soak the rice in water and place the container in the microwave.

3) microwave till it’s fully cooked and soft enough. 

4) The cooking time varies depending on the type of microwave and container used. suggested only for the small serving of rice. 

5) Boiling time of rice can vary depending on the type of paddy used for processing.

I would like big basket to take the product back and refund me as I am using an adulterer rice product which smells bad and lot of wax and colour upon washing

the rice is good, but it's mixed with some poor quality rice as well. so it takes time to clean it.

BIG stones in the rice ! previous time we din have this problem and so we have been buying this product, this time it was a very poor quality. please check quality!
