MTR Ready Mix - Sambar

About the Product

MTR Sambar powder is a spice mix used throughout India, particularly the southern states as a flavour enhancing ingredient while preparing sambar. This special mix of spice is used in a tiny quantity at the end of cooking to add a subtle taste to the cooked lentils. It is utilised to create the sambar very peppery.

Ingredients
Red Gram Dal, Salt, Tamarind Concentrate, Coriander, Sugar, Rice, Edible Vegetable Oil, Red Chilli, Cumin, Curry leaves, Mustard, Fenugreek, Turmeric, Cinnamon, Asafoetida.
How to Use
  • Boil 6 measures of water.
  • Add 1 measure of MTR Sambar mix to the water and 500g pre-boiled vegetables of your choice (Onions, tomatoes etc).
  • Cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice.
