MTR Snack Mix - Dhokla

About the Product

MTR Dhokla is extremely special in Gujarat. It is a smooth delicious steam-baked item. Dhoklas are an evening favourite, eaten with the red chilli chutney in oil. With time on your side, you can delight friends & family at tea-time with amazing dhoklas!

Ingredients
Rice Flour, Semolina, Lentil Flour, Wheat Flour, Salt, Sugar Powder, Raising Agents (Citric Acid, Sodium Bicarbonate) and Asafoetida.
How to Use
  • Mix 60ml fresh yoghurt, 240ml water, and 45ml oil.
  • For a spicier taste, also add ginger and green chilli paste.
  • Add 200g Khatta Dhokla Mix gradually.
  • Blend gently for 1 minute until batter is smooth.
  • Brush 2 baking trays with oil.
  • Pour equal quantities of batter into each and sprinkle with black pepper or red chilli powder.
  • Steam on high flame for 12 minutes.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes then cut the Khatta Dhokla pancakes into cubes or wedges.
  • Serve hot with green chutney and oil.

Steam in microwave. More salty.
Mix curd, oil, water, sprinkle chilly powder and cumin powder on top. Preferably steam in microwave dish in microwave (pressure cooker did not work well for me). One star less for this reason : MIX IS MORE SALTY THAN REQUIRED - which is a real let down :(. Less salt is better than more.
