We discovered the Lunn brand when we stumbled upon news that 90% of the world's Salts brands are contaminated by Microplastics which is shown in several research. Consumption of plastic-contaminated oceanic water not only intrudes and harms marine creatures but also affects human health, as it ends up in the Salt we use. In addition, the mineral content of Table Salt and Common Salt has been stripped off through excessive processing and refining. So, Lunn has come with the idea of producing Organic & Vegan Salt, which is Ethically & Hand Harvested in an Unpolluted Desert Environment.
Lunn Desert Salt
The Great Indian Desert, also known as the Thar Desert, situated in the state of Rajasthan, India, is the 9th largest subtropical Desert in the world. Deep beneath its glistening hot sands, large pools of water form when the rare rains arrive during the monsoon season. As the water seeps down, it combines with the mineral-rich Desert Salt to form a thick saline mixture. This is pumped up and left to dry in the Salt pans, creating dunes of one of the purest forms of Desert Salt. Monsoon rains replenish the water levels each season creating a sustainable cycle.
