Operational Updates

  • One additional order can be placed even when you have a pending delivery in place. The cities where this is applicable are Bangalore, NCR, Coimbatore, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Vizag, Surat , Kochi, Lucknow-Kanpur, and Mysore.

Note on Refunds

  • Due to operational constraints and restrictions on the movement of goods, we had to cancel your order(s). We have initiated a refund to your source payment account for your cancelled order. Your bank/wallet might take 7-9 days to credit the money back to your account. Please note that bigbasket will never ask you for bank account details or credit/debit card details in order to process refunds.

Note on our selection

  • We have curated our product selection to reflect only the essential products needed at this time. This makes our operations easier and helps us serve more customers.

Note to our customers

  • We have a few requests when you shop with bigbasket over the next few days. We are making these requests to help us serve as many customers as possible during this time
  • When you are shopping at bigbasket and if you know your neighbors need a few grocery items too, please try to place a combined order.
  • Through our daily updates on social media as well as our app and website, we are reporting our operational updates and slot availability across cities each day. You can share these updates with your friends and family who might find them helpful.
  • We are temporarily disabling add-on orders, so kindly order all your items together. This is so that we can serve more customers with the existing manpower.

Note on our Tech operations

  • We have increased our server capacity by 50%. This would enable our app/website to handle more traffic which will help in serving more orders.

Note on our Customer Service responses:

  • We are currently facing a very high volume of queries to our Customer Service team. While we are trying our best, we are not able to respond to all queries currently. We will keep you posted on key developments through our daily updates.
  • With the exceptionally high demand over the last few days, we are left with a huge backlog of orders. Our first priority will be towards customers who have paid and waiting for their orders to be fulfilled. We will open up for new orders very soon.
